What other mods do you have installed... neither of the issues you're describing here are nUI behaviors.

It's a commie plot by the alliance. nUI is an alliance only mod and actively seeks to reduce Taurens to grazing in the pastures. You are not allowed to cast spells.

On a more serious note, it sounds to me like something is messing with key bindings. I would be curious to know what happens if you disable ALL of your mods with the single exception of nUI and test again.
