Yeah -- the first one was what I was talking about and the second one is really nice.
EDIT: oops... sorry... forgot the other question... that looks like the correct place, yes. And, yeah, once you realize how the HUD bars work, it really is very easy to make happen... you can really get creative with the HUD art.
