I have been using nUI's interface with the Blizzard vehicle interface turned off for quite awhile now. It's a much better way to do things.
However, there is one big gotcha you should be aware of. IF you get into a vehicle with your current hot key bar set to any other than the first hot key bank, you will not see the vehicle's hot key's. To fix this simply use "Shift-1" or whatever key you use to switch the main hot key bar to the first one, which will be the Vehicle hot keys when on a vehicle.
This got my wife and I into some trouble once. In fact it was during a run of Occulus. If you don't realize what is going on, you can be mashing keys for several minutes without doing a thing.
