Seeing the same thing here as well, no splash screen, and scrolling back up in the chat log indicates that .14 is loaded.
I also removed the /Addons/nUI folder, and reinstalled from the downloaded update, twice, with the same results.

Yea, I went and made sure that I downloaded the newest file from wowinterface and still got the same thing.
