it's minimap transprancy settings, some spots don't allow the map to be transparent or it goes black like that. Sadly it's a bug with WoW not with carbonite so I can't fix it.
Enabling the "Bugged Zones" options will try to fix some by disabling the transparency if it knows it'll happen, tho not silvermoon since no one ever reported that one as a bugged zone before.
