Actually, you can package the HUD for others.
For now the way to do that is to replace the current HUD layouts with your own layouts when the "VARIABLES_LOADED" event fires.
You should be able to grab the textless HUD plugin from the "nUI: HUD Designs" section at
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/cat125.html and use it as a framework for replacing the default HUDs with your custom HUDs.
So you create your own HUD plugin and copy your modified HUD elements into that, then have your elements replace the default ones in the tables when the "VARIABLES_LOADED" event fires, nUI will then build the HUD using your layout and art rather than mine when the "PLAYER_LOGIN" event fires a few seconds later.
