So I got it up and working Looks great and functions well. But:

Is there a way to hide, possibly alter, the box near the top of the screen - where u change the hud etc. It "sticks down" pretty far and gives me kind of a claustrofobic feeling. Hm.

There is a slash command that allows you to control when/how the top console is viewed.

/nui console (show|hide|mouseover)

I use the mouseover option so that the majority of the time the console is hidden and clears up the screen.

I have also seen that some people have created skins for nUI that integrates the items that are in the top console into the main console. See here.

you could also try the plug-ins section you will find some different layouts in the art section so you can move the top console down to the bottom
