Social button causes icon to appear

I click on the social button as soon as I do, I get what looks like a file icon in the lower left area of my screen, mousing over it causes it to glow yellow but has no functionality with either a left or right click, I cannot remove it under carb options, and anytime I have created a new toon, as soon as I click the Social button it appears. Any suggestions? Thx

What happens if you use the "O" (that's "oh", not "zero") key? That's the default key bind for the social window and works even if you are using the Carbonite enhanced social window. Unless, of course, you've re-bound it to something else.

I don't use any of the addons on your list other than TomTom and LearningAid, but if any of them modify the friends frame (particularly, to add note icons, since that's what's showing up on your screen) they're probably the cause of the problem. Unless someone else recognizes one of your addons, though, you'll probably just have to figure it out yourself by disabling all of your addons, and then enabling them one by one until the problem reappears, to narrow down which one (or ones; it could be something conflicting with, say, Carbonite) is causing the problem.

For all the input, I was able to localize the problem and determined it was actually NotesUNeed putting the icon on my UI, and not Carb. I have now removed that addon and have no further issues. Many thanx to those who replied and assisted in my issue.

You might want to get rid of Totem Timers as well. I can't think of a reason a hunter would need it.
