dock minimap and move into carb map

whats the difference between docking the minimap and moving it into the carb map? ive been toying with it a bit and cant really figure it out.

As far as I know you simply cannot dock the minimap (that would be Blizzards minimap) without merging it with Carbonite's minimized map. Merging the maps is the first option on the "Map Minimap" page of Carbonite's options window.

When the Blizzard minimap is in the Carbonite map, it is either around the player arrow or docked in a corner. Docking is used when the minimap would scroll off and edge of the map or get too small to see.

The Blizzard minimap, is needed to show their tracking icons, since addons cannot get those locations from the game.
