Missing Icon Graphics - plz help

i loaded Carbonite V 3.10 (today 3.320) ( open winzip and dropped in to interface folder)

The Following item can be used but dont show up on the

map < M > (scroll in and out)
+
< upper Right (cricle) map >
+
Left most (Square) Map

(1) - The < (C) arbonite - (C) Upper right Wow Map just show A Green box Can Right click on it to use item inside and can see behind it the Cricle where the (c) should be

(2) on all maps i can see the diffrent colors of quest in my quest list but all the icon are missing ( The icons for : boarder to other regions are visible , Diffrent service in towns are visible - Wow Made items , ( {0} )

(3) Maxinize - Close/menu Are missing ( button are still their but can not see them ( Apper to be covered over with a black or gray block)

please help - ( Dummie style answer please )

I do not have any of the common icons that are usually on my maps. I like these and i makes it a pain to not have them. please help

This is for a PC: Please delete your current Carbonite installation, including these two files: Path To Your WoW Folder\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables, and delete these two files: Carbonite.lua and Carbonite.lua.bak. I would suggest only deleting those two files but there is definitely something wrong with your Carbonite installation. There should be a .lua and .toc file in every Carbonite folder and the "CarboniteLicenseAgreement.txt" and "CarboniteReadMe.txt" files should be in the "AddOns" folder, but not in any folder in that folder. I hope that made sense to you.

Re-download the latest Carbonite, and unzip it to your "AddOns" folder. Check the folder structure again (before you start WoW), and if everything looks OK, start WoW and check it out. As an alternative, you could unzip it to the folder you dl'd it to and check everything out before you install it. If you choose this alternative, you should have 4 Carbonite folders (Carbonite, CarboniteItems, CarboniteNodes, CarboniteTransfer) and 2 text files (CarboniteLicenseAgreement.txt, CarboniteReadMe.txt). Check to be sure that each folder has at least a .lua and .toc file in them. The Carbonite folder will have 2 other folders in it, along with a few other files, and that is correct. If it looks OK, just unzip as stated above.

Could you please be a little more specific?

With the latest release of Carbonite (3.320), they changed a few of the icons that Carbonite uses on their own map just a little bit, but I'm not sure how much because I simply have not noticed it.

If you mean the icons on the Blizzard minimap (the round one in the upper right corner of the screen), you'll have to talk to Blizzard about that. Carbonite doesn't change anything on the Blizzard maps.

OK, I'm going to need a bit of clarification here. All those graphics files (whatever.tga) you list at the end of your post should be in the "Gfx" folder and split up over three (3) folders named "Buttons", "Map", and "Skin". The two text files (CarboniteReadMe.txt and CarboniteLicenseAgreement.txt) should NOT be in any folder what so ever.

I don't use WinZip, and haven't for a few years now, but I seem to remember an option that you had to set (somewhere in WinZip) to keep the folder structure intact when unzipping a file. It sounds like that might be your problem.

First, I apologize for taking so long to answer you, and, yes, I do know which files go where.

OK. Inside the Carbonite folder is the Gfx folder, and inside it are three folders (Buttons, Map, and Skin) and two (2) graphics files: Carbonite.tga (the Carbonite graphic you see after entering your realm) and MMBut.tga (the Carbonite minimap button, or icon). I must also apologize to you for one other thing: It seems odd to me, but there is indeed a copy of the "CarboniteLicenseAgreement.txt" and "CarboniteReadMe.txt" files in the "Carbonite" folder. However, for some reason, there are also copies of them NOT inside the "Carbonite" folder when the downloaded file is unzipped. You would see these in the main "AddOns" folder in your WoW installation. Apparently they have been doing this all along and I just never noticed it. Sorry.

It was there in my last post.

The CarboniteItems, CarboniteNodes, and CarboniteTransfer folders just get put in your ....\Interface\AddOns folder along with your Carbonite folder.

Y'know, if your WinZip is not unzipping your files correctly, I would seriously consider reinstalling it. OR maybe even look into another decompression tool.
