Where are the nUI+ download instructions?

I would like to download nUI+ -- where are the instructions?

If you haven't already, you should start by creating a login account at http://www.nUIaddon.com -- when you do that, you will be sent an e-mail with the subject line "Please confirm your e-mail address for the '{your user name}' account you just created at the SpielwerkZ site" which will have been sent from noreply@nUIaddon.com -- that e-mail contains a link you have to click before you can access your account. Once you have clicked that link, your account will have been created and you will immediately be granted access to it and sent a welcome e-mail... it is a fully automatic process and there is no delay in approving your access or sending the mail out once you click the confirmation link. (note: if you try to register more than once, you must click the confirmation link sent to you last (the most recent one).

If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail within a few minutes of trying to create your account, then you probably tried to log in with an invalid e-mail account, your mailbox is full or, possibly, you are using one of the obnoxious mail services like Charter, HotMail or Yahoo that routinely interfere with automatic mailings regardless of their quality or validity. I strongly recommend using http://mail.google.com or an other reliable mail service when subscribing to nUI's web site and newsletter. If you've tried to create an account and never got the e-mail, and you are not using HotMail, Charter or Yahoo, please e-mail me at kscottpiel@nUIaddon.com and I'll be happy to look into it for you.

Once you have created your account and clicked the confirmation link, just go to http://www.nUIaddon.com and log in. The instructions on how to download nUI+ (as well as instructions on how to figure out what's wrong if you can't access it) are right there on the member's home page.

SPECIAL NOTE TO YAHOO/CHARTER/HOTMAIL USERS: It has come to my attention on more occasions than I can count that these services have been blocking delivery of the nUI newsletter e-mails, update mails, and even the confirmation letter to join the mailing list. If you have tried to subscribe from an account with one of these providers and you are not receiving your e-mails, please take a moment to complain to the mail administrator and tell them that mail from SpielwerkZ.com and nUIaddon.com is *NOT* junk mail and you *WANT* it to be delivered. In addition, I highly recommend you go to http://mail.google.com and sign up for a free Google e-mail account... their service is (imo) much better and they will not interfere with the delivery of your newsletters.

I started a gmail account and got the confirm subscription email. Now I am just waiting for the welcome email. So Yahoo is causing problems getting emails from the site.

nUI+ and Wow Interface?

Greetings,

I've been a long time nUI+ user. I do get your emails about updates, including the latest build of nUI 5.07.12. Do I need to submit my info again on your site to get access, or are they still available on Wow Interface?

Thanks,
Wulfemeister

No... there's been a SNAFU with the web site... we're working to fix it. For now, you can go to http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/index.php?cid=125 to access the download.

My apologies

Maybe I have missed something; however, the above link does seem to work to be able to subscribe and be able to get NUI+?

Any suggestions?

AH... yeah... it's changed since I put this FAQ up... thanks for reminding me I need to update it.

Just go to http://www.nUIaddon.com and create an account. The instructions are on the member's home page.

This is a huge violation of blizzards terms of use. You cannot charge money to download addon. Providing it via a privileged group on wowinterface does not make it any less of a violation.

World of Warcraft User Interface Add-On Development Policy

With the continuing popularity of World of Warcraft user interface add-ons (referred to hereafter as "add-ons") created by the community of players, Blizzard Entertainment has formalized design and distribution guidelines for add-ons. These guidelines have been put in place to ensure the integrity of World of Warcraft and to help promote an enjoyable gaming environment for all of our players - failure to abide by them may result in measures up to and including taking formal legal action.

1) Add-ons must be free of charge.
All add-ons must be distributed free of charge. Developers may not create "premium" versions of add-ons with additional for-pay features, charge money to download an add-on, charge for services related to the add-on, or otherwise require some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on.

2) Add-on code must be completely visible.
The programming code of an add-on must in no way be hidden or obfuscated, and must be freely accessible to and viewable by the general public.

3) Add-ons must not negatively impact World of Warcraft realms or other players.
Add-ons will perform no function which, in Blizzard Entertainment's sole discretion, negatively impacts the performance of the World of Warcraft realms or otherwise negatively affects the game for other players. For example, this includes but is not limited to excessive use of the chat system, unnecessary loading from the hard disk, and slow frame rates.

4) Add-ons may not include advertisements.
Add-ons may not be used to advertise any goods or services.

5) Add-ons may not solicit donations.
Add-ons may not include requests for donations. We recognize the immense amount of effort and resources that go into developing an add-on; however, such requests should be limited to the add-on website or distribution site and should not appear in the game.

6) Add-ons must not contain offensive or objectionable material.
World of Warcraft has been given a "T" by the ESRB, and similar ratings from other ratings boards around the world. Blizzard Entertainment requires that add-ons not include any material that would not be allowed under these ratings.

7) Add-ons must abide by World of Warcraft ToU and EULA.
All add-ons must follow the World of Warcraft Terms of Use and the World of Warcraft End User License Agreement.

8) Blizzard Entertainment has the right to disable add-on functionality as it sees fit.
To maintain the integrity World of Warcraft and ensure the best possible gaming experience for our players, Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to disable any add-on functionality within World of Warcraft at its sole discretion. For more information...

If you are an add-on developer and have any questions about and this User Interface Add-On Development Policy and how it pertains to the add-on that you've developed, please don't hesitate to email us at WoWUI@blizzard.com.

You have no clue what you're talking about. There is no charge for the add-on.

Just a friendly FYI that the "http://www.nUIaddon.com/plus.html" info is shown at game login when I first installed nUI ...

Also the sticky at the top of this forum says that the FAQ is at http://www.nuiaddon.com/faq.html which is broken

Looking forward to seeing nUI+ when you have time to approve my group request!

No access yet to nUI+

I requested access to nUI+ 3 days ago and have yet to gain access to it. So far I love the original UI and would like a chance to check out the + version for 25 man or more raids. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I was pretty sure I followed all of the instructions given on the nUIaddon.com site. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Scott may be the only one able to give you that access and he is currently MIA.

Version 5.07.27 contains the latest bugfixes.
The thread http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...t.php?p=267112 makes an adjustment missed off of the patch update.

Everything still in action? I notice NUI (main release version) is kept somewhat up to date but not many (if any) recent posts or any form of activity within the past couple of weeks. I've not been waiting long, only since yesterday evening so not too concerned for now (plus still testing UIs for now).

Plus I'm a little curious. Is nUI6 the same as nUI+
