Everytime there is a major patch we have to wait for days for an update. The authors do not even post any time table for a release of an update. Maybe the info is posted in the supporters forum but I will never know. I still like the addon. I think it is one of the best for questing, etc. But until the authors start releasing 0 day updates and keep the users better informed about updates, I will be saving my money.

*Edit* didn't notice it was the Carb section, posted my reply as if it was "general" talk.

You donate, not subscribe.

The donations done are specifically for the job already done, not what is to happen in the future, tough many authors keep updating their mods and maybe a donation just increases their involvement with their addon a while longer. Patches may not be instantly the first day or week of patch, but they get their heads around eventually, at least the most popular addons.

Let them get some time and they will, don't worry, even if the author no longer works on their project they usually get replaced or co-authored by someone that loves it and knows how to code, so chances are it won't just die off.

Ever since Blizz disallowed payments (not talking about donations) for addons, customer support for Carbonite and timely updates (forget that the PTR is normally up for months before a patch, and addon authors have that time to patch their addons) have been non existent.

People can sugar-coat it all they like, but it is what it is.
