nUI v5.05.02 released...

Release News

nUI v5.05.02 is another maintenance release to address two issues which have come up with the WoW 3.2 patch. The first is a conflict between nUI and Titan panel with regard to the size and location of your bags when opened, the second is an error thrown the first time you log into your characters which results in the objectives tracking window not being correctly sized and located.

Titan Panel has also made a new release which addresses the bag bar conflict issue by adding a right-click configuration option on the Titan bars which can be used to turn off Titan's management of the bag bar. With this update to nUI, we also force Titan to not try and relocate the bags when opened so new users do not have to change that setting manually.

The other issue is the advanced objectives tracker which has been a problem on and off since it was introduced in WotLK. This update fixes that problem once and for all. For new users to nUI, it will be seamless. However, for existing users, you'll need to execute a slash command to properly reset your objectives window if you're having issues with it... the command is '/nui watchframe' which can be executed at any time to reset the advanced objectives tracking window to the default size and location for compatibility with nUI's layout.

As always... my sincere thanks to everyone for their support of nUI. If you would like to make a donation in support of nUI's ongoing development, please visit http://www.nuiaddon.com/donate.html

Version 5.05.02 (Release)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Fixed an integration issue between nUI and Titan Panel where the two mods were fighting over management of the bag locations when openning bags. Note... since this patch was made, Titan has also been updated to add an option to turn off Titan's management of the bag locations via the right-click options settings in Titan.
  • Fixed a logic error in the advanced objectives tracking management in nUI so that the tracking window is now correctly sized and located when nUI is initially installed.
  • Added a new slash command '/nui watchframe' which allows the user to manally reset the size and location of the advanced objectives tracking frame should the location be lost or otherwise problematic. By default nUI only sets the size and location of the frame once when the player logs in on a character for the first time... after that the player and relocate the frame as they see fit. This option allows them to reset the location to the nUI default at any time after the initial login.

window compatibility

I had installed the guild chat, decursive, and dual panels for recount/omen. Does this patch fix issues such as the chat window ghosting over the top of the other right side windows? The Decurse/recount/omen windows would just cause major issues and interface crashes. For now the only window addons I have working are Mage Ports and Skada.
I might add this was off of a fresh rebuild of addons following a drive swap. Loading NUI+ and then slowly adding back mods 1 at a time for stability testing.

The only reason that sort of thing happens is usually because the plugins aren't loaded to put the addons in separate screens.

With my guildchat addon for example I noticed that with chat window related addons if the addon was loaded then unloaded it didn't remove the window created. I believe I fixed this with guildchat and all my other chat window addons with a command for the user to disable the window prior to removing it. The only other thing the user can do if they forget to do that is remove the window manually.

Similar can be said of any other addon that has a plugin addon to move it to the panels. If you use it at first and then forget to enable it you get a similar effect of the addons frames being positioned where they last were as we use the addon's own functions to reposition addons based on nUIs layout.

Version 5.07.27 contains the latest bugfixes.
The thread http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...t.php?p=267112 makes an adjustment missed off of the patch update.

Did you install recount and omen? You have to install them if you want to use the dual stats plugin.
