Ideas Needed...

Looking for some ideas because I've hit a wall with a new layout.

I need ideas for where the castbar, player pet, tot, focus, and focus target should go.
Right now they look like :

Castbar is currently way out in left feild on the screen because I cant decide where to put it.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Frames look good where they are. You could actually look into having the castbar as an overlay to the entire player and target frames.

Or use the ring in the texture as some sort of ringthing castbar. Just an idea...

P.S.: Nice layout(original)!

Was playing around with castbar and threw this together. Its not quite polished yet some things are a little off kilter.

I like this idea. I think I'll run with that most likely. The castbar I have at the moment seems clunky compared to the rest of the layout.

I was thinking of more as an overlay of the horizontal crossbar there.

I want a player and target castbar. So if it was on the horizontal crossbar I would only be able to show one at a time.

You could have player vertical and target horizontal on the cross, though.

There is a lack of unitframes that are designed to have player/target stacked on top of either other rather than side-by-side. I greatly prefer 'stacked', so I really really hope you bring this to completion!

Working on it. Trying to get everything organized and readable(is that a word ? )

Newest screenshots...

Player and Target castbar with latency and time, no text for spell just the icon.

Raid... top right dude has leader... over cropped the screenshot.

Oh and I'm working on turning the "crosshairs" into a fairly obvious threat situation for current target. I'm failing at it so far, but eventually.

Not to steal any of your thunder, but the latest ouf_viv 4.x release stacks pretty nice now. Not as compact as this will be, but if anyone is looking for something in the mean time, check it out.

Still in the works. Couple of changes. The crossbar circle has gotten a little larger to support a couple of features. The castbars are going to be spawned and filled vertically. So far it looks great just needs some polishing.

Any requests for it PM me. Hope to have it out in beta in the next week or so.
