Here's mine! Unlike the UI that I use, I prefer a minimalistic desktop.... can't stand icons covering up beautiful wallpaper.

The wallpaper comes from the XBMC digital media center software.

Now, what's the difference between RocketDock and ObjectDock ?

I've been using ObjectDock, but am thinking of replacing it... been a bit buggy lately.

With Wine (a Windows emulator). Many people would like to see native support for WoW, though.

Not entirely sure. I've always used rocketdock.

Difference? It depends on what flavor of ObjectDock you are using. If you are using just the base (freeware) ObjectDock, then no difference between ObjectDock and RocketDock. If you use the Plus version then OD+ has more features that RD. I have used both in the past and I liked both.

If you are running Windows (XP, Vista, 7), programs like SysStats, Rainmeter or Samurize are what does the neat clocks, system stats, etc.

Linux users can use Conky or Screenlets (look in your distro's repos for precompiled packages for your distro, or look at Gnome-Look.org if you don't use a major distro).

OK, finally got around to getting another screenshot of my current Desktop:

Ubuntu 9.10, customized "Archiplex Blue" GTK, "Macoma-Arch" Metacity theme, MeliaeSVG icons, Conky (the strip at the top), DockBarX with the "Sunny" theme (the Windows 7 like application switcher), Gnome Music Applet. In addition, there is another GNOME panel hidden at the top (visible upon mouseover) that covers the Conky panel. My most used shortcuts, clock, sys tray, Notification Applet, etc live there.

All are great applications.

I'm using Rainmeter, with a custom theme called Pileus that I got off of Deviant Art.

Funny thing about mine, the way my monitors are set up, the line seems to connect from one to the next. Totally unintentional

simple just right click Desktop >> Personalize >> Change desktop icons >> un-check the Recycle Bin. This is how it is on my PC, Windows 7.
