Is it possible to Disable Hunters' pet sounds?

My friend plays a Hunter, and he mentioned to me how annoying his flying pet is, with it constantly making its 'whooshing' flying noise. I was wondering if there is any way to disable the pet sounds, ideally just specific ones so that a bunch of other things don't become silent too.

I remember people used to replace models or whatnot so that their pet looked like whatever they wanted, so surely replacing sounds is possible too?

Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure about sounds, but replacing models is not exactly approved by blizz.

So i'm guessing that sounds are the same? Although yeah would be nice if they changed them, hate being in a raid with a hunter with a bird, that damn flapping all the time :s

"Disable Ambient Pet Sounds" would indeed be a nice Sound option.
