Possible bug

Don't know if this is an nUI bug or just a glitch on my end.

Respec'd my hunter this morning, and all of the unlearned talents still showed up on the button bar. This didnt used to happen. If you respec'd the unlearned talents would disappear from the bars. I have not tested this on any other toon, and if this is a known issue, I am sorry I missed it.

That would be a WoW glitch, I think, as nUI does not determine what's on the bars... it only displays them. But, it's possible some update event is being missed or broken because of nUI.

It would be interesting to see if the buttons worked when that happens.

No the buttons did not work, the graphic just stayed on the bar. Its not a major issue really, just don't know if its an issue with NUI or Blizz.

Can you reproduce it ? (Maybe on the PTR to save gold..) And did you respec to a new main tree or same tree, just different talents ?

As soon as you "untalent" all buttons that are from talents should disappear.. Same with changing with dual spec.. So whatever new spec chosen should come into play at all :-s

Why do you guys always have the more interesting bugs..

I have duplicated this on another toon. It occured when I changed to a different talent tree, i have not attempted to respec into the same tree. The buttons did not disappear when I chose yes at the unlearn dialog. They also remained when I hit learn after selecting my new talents from a different tree. I tested this on 2 different toons, 1 with nUI loaded, the other with no addons loaded. This only occured with nUI loaded. It seems to me (I am not an addon author, so I don't really know) that some update trigger is not being processed when you unlearn the talents.

Like I said before, this is not a major issue, and just requires the buttons to be removed or replaced manually. Just some food for thought, and something you may want to test in nUI6 or the next release of nUI5.

Question -- when you do this respect, and the buttons don't change, what happens if you do a '/nui rl' after you finish the respec (before you add the new talents to the button bar) -- do those buttons go away or are they still there after the reload?

Ok, tried it out on my shaman since I havent respeced on him in awhile.

First SS is right after I hit yes on the unlearn my talents. Second is after /nui rl command.

You will see in the first where Thunderstorm and others are unlearned in the chat pane, but they are still visible on the bars (They do not work), and in the second they are still visable.

Okay -- well, that proves this is a Blizzard server side problem then since if it was only a bar update problem they would go away after the reload. If the buttons are still on the bars after the reload, then the problem is on the server side since the server is telling the UI those buttons are still on the bar.

There's really nothing I can do about that.

Hrm, ok. Just odd that it didnt happen when I had all addons disabled.

Will post it up on the blizzard bug boards then.
