My New UI

Alright, I would like some opinions on my Xan UI Revamped UI...

Here are some pictures.

Image 1.
The Current UI I am using and possibly upload.

The Rest are based on the same UI, but with boxes showing where Elements of the UI could go.

A few things that imo need improving:

Your top and bottom viewport frames are different textures, try a bit more consistency next time. Also, why is all of that space needed for the small amount of FuBar plugins being used? Compress it into 1 line and you should still have some space left over.

CT_RA, Damage Meters and KTM on an alt this low of a level? Disable them till you really need them, this should also help to improve that horrid increasing rate you have which could improve your FPS.

The "Brick Wall" of actionbars looks ugly with the holes in the center, you have 7~ unused buttons which should be at the top / corner to clean it up. You could also hide your keybound skills to save more space.

The round minimap looks a little out of place, or even just its golden border could do with a plain black texture.

Is there another combat / chat log on the right side of the actionbars? if not you should shift the combat log that is next to your chat log to the right of the screen.

Anyway im just throwin some ideas at you that i think will clean your UI up a little.

Please upload that UI, I especially like the fourth alternative option.

Well done!

I will continue to post more pictures of the updating UI.

Those miniature buttons on the far left of the screenshot are macro buttons. Your Tooltip should show you what is what.

@KyesaRRi - Thanks for the criticism
I'll put the main FuBar plugins on one or two lines. I think it is the same texture, but compressed or something like that. When the FuBar plugins get put onto less lines it shouldn't be a problem.
Lol, is this a flame at my Char? Lol... Anyway. *off-topic* Playing on my school's laptop which is why i got a crap FPS. And I am an addon-freak, so I have alot of relatively useless mods around.
Hmm... My skills are keybound strangely... Which is why I have random holes everywhere. Hiding my keybound is a good idea.
Would moving the Minimap to around where the action bar be a good idea?
On the right side of the actionbars are possibly NaturECB/DamageMeters/KTM/Raid Frames.

@Cryptonic
Nah... This is Sunnart.

Taking in some of the suggestions, the UI is nearing completion. I just need opinions on the following things:

1. Which design do you want? - Please get your friends to look around at them.
2. I dont know any Bar mods... Can someone link me some? Im currently using CT.
3. Antagonist or NaturECB?
4. Which FuBar plugins do *you* want?

It'd be a help if you could answer these questions!!

1. I might actually prefer number 3 or 4... I'm a tad bit OCD, and having that gaping empty space while not in a raid would eat at my brain. I also love to have everything pretty close to centered/evened out. This creates a sense of balance visually and is not distracting. Also, I couldn't *really* tell, since your camera was zoomed in in that first screenshot, but I would suggest a viewport since your background frames are so thick and opaque.

2. I use Bartender3. You can get it here or at wowace.

3. I have Antagonist and Chronometer, but my husband prefers nECB. I haven't tried nECB personally, however.

4. As for FuBar plugins.... I think the basics are a must have: bags, money, durability, performance, clock, volume, etc. FactionsFu is nice if you're tracking rep, FuXPFu places a pretty xp bar as a border on your FuBar (it can also track rep), GarbageFu makes it easy to dump those grays at a vendor, MailFu allows you to dump the mail icon around your minimap if you're moving/customizing your map, MicroMenuFu puts your character/talents/spellbook/etc menu up in FuBar, PetInfoFu for hunters/locks, TopScoreFu to keep track of damage records... I use a few more than that, but those are the best, I think.

Bar mods: Bartender, Bongos, Cogwheel, Flexbar
I am sure I am missing a few in there.

AuditorFu is a great fubar plugin. Fubar plugins for the most part are too subjective imo. I dont play a class that needs ammofu, but its a great one nonetheless. Grab generic plugins and leave it at that. Let the end consumer choose otherwise.

The minimap, where should it go?

Wherever you feel it looks best / balances out the rest of the elements in your UI.

Ah cool man

If you clean up the actionbars a little maybe you could place the Minimap somewhere in the center of those, but if you feel its comfortable where it is then why change it.
Ive become a big fan of the minimap being near the actionbars, just gives it that cleaner appearance.

Little screenie of what im blabbing about:
http://users.tpg.com.au/aeverdsl/Deadmines.Outlands.JPG

The ui is from my druid before i quit wow, as you can see the actionbars are built around the minimap. IMO this style would go well with the Viewport theme you have going.

As for an actionbar addon id suggest Bongos or Bartender3 as both are easy to use and do most, if not all you would want out of an actionbar addon.

But yeah just throwing some ideas at you again =P

Top right minimap is perfectly fine, it's much better to have skills/macros in the bottom centre.

'twas nearing it's finish,
when all hope diminished,
WoW completely crashed,

I sat with my mouth open,
this UI is completely broken,
but it will come back with a slash(?).

True story. I had to re-install WoW from nothing.

This UI will come back someday.

Possibly good news:
Ok, WoW is working. Time to get all the mods back that I lost.

Possibly Bad news:
It is now being developed on my widescreen laptop.

Even better news:
I'll make a Widescreen and Normal one if it is in demand.

I use to have my minimap in the center of my screen at the bottom. I loved it there. It created problems though. Space constraints mostly. Between chat boxes on left and actionbars on the right, I was left very little room. I have sinced moved it to the bottom right corner, made things much easier for me.
