Disappearing Cast-Bar

I recently made a priest alt (I normally play a DK), and when I get hit in combat and suffer spell pushback as a result, my cast bar will sometimes disappear until the spell has finished casting.

This happens very frequently, usually 1-2 times per fight.

I was running an old developement version when I first started noticing this, so I upgraded to the latest release version, but the problem has persisted.

I haven't tried deleting my WTF folder yet, because I hate having all my mods reset, but I'll do that if there's no better soloution.

I would suggest backing up your WTF files and restore the important data reliant ones that are obviously not easy to reimplement .. such as alt databases, guild databases, quest histories etc.

i also ahve this.. i notice it on my pally (solo leveling as holy ) usually happens when i am getting hit by lots of things.. the cast bar will freak out and disappear

The cast bar is one of three unit modules I have not yet recoded with the new event engine. I plan on rewriting it today. So, hopefully, this issue will be resolved once and for all (hopefully) -- did I mention I was only hopeful I could fix it? ~grin~

I've managed to find the exact point it makes it disappear and can make it do it several times a fight if I don't kill the mob.

It only makes the bar disappear, as far as I can see anyway, if you get interrupted right at the beginning of the cast. If you time your cast to start just as you're being attacked by something that would interrupt you, you can replicate it. If you cast before they do that or after .. you're able to avoid it.
