Hide Carbonite/Minimap when in instance or party.

Is there an option so that whenever i enter a raid group, or an instance(even if not grouped!), or a party(either inside or outside instance) then the carbonite map becomes HIDDEN.

Currently working on an UI where Carbonite and Recount share the same KGpanel, but i am unable to make Carbonite hide when I enter an instance, to give room for showing Recount in that kgpanel.

OH!..and it would be nice if the quest tracker could be hidden "if in party" aswell as in "Raid" as it stands in options. :P

Any ideas?

If not, possible to create a new feature in the options opening for this?

Take a look at nUI. It has an infopanel on the bottom right of the screen, and you can put omen/recount (or skada) in one panel, and carbonite in the other. You'll have to push a button to switch between them, but that's no big deal.

I dont want nUI. I have made my own, I am asking for Carbonite to get "hide when party" and "hide when in raid group" tick boxes.

nUI takes up too much screen and is too unclean.

I believe it's possible through scripts with Kgpanels to do what you want. The gist would be to create 2 identical windows with each one containing a separate addon. Then setup each window to hide it's contents based on your criteria. ie In party/instance/raid etc.

I have no idea how to do that myself, but I have seen similar thoughts in the General forums of WoWI relating to Kgpanels.

unfortunately I am not looking at hiding the kgpanels, but more making Carbonite hide when I enter a group, both it and the quest thingy.

That's why I suggested scripting through Kgpanels.

Parent the Carb Map and the Quest Tracker to a Kgpanels frame. Then make the frame hide when in Party etc. Do the same thing with Recount, except set it to show in Party etc.

No clue how to do it, but I think it's possible.
