stuck on connecting

every time i try to log into wow, i will type in my username and password and hit enter but instead of saying "connecting -> successful -> etc" it just gets stuck at connecting. any suggestions on what to do?

Contact comcast or blizzard?

Addons don't execute their code until after character selection so its not addon related.

tracert the login server and see if there's an issue along the way.

yesterday I got server messages in spanish, french and russian language
but never a german ... and I play on a german server with a german client
most times I tried to enter a dungeon I got stuck in the loading screen.
guess they have a "little" problem with too many players enjoying the event

Try Repair.exe in your WOW folder, delete content in the Cache folder(not the one in Data), then try log in.
If that still not help, then move folder Interface and WTF to the desktop, and try login again.
Hope you could success this time.
PS: How is your network? Have you finished the downloading and data applying with Launcher.exe?

I've had the same problem since 4.0.3 was released. Nothing's changed on my side and my internet has absolutely no other problems whatsoever. The only fix I have for you is to reset your modem/router right before you try to log in. It works for me.

Right now there is only 25 pages on the thread on the WoW forum with people bitching about having trouble logging in. And you can't post of the WoW forum right now either because it's server is also down.

@OldHarry — I'm not sure how that's related to this thread, which was posted days ago and has nothing to do with the "Login server busy" problem that many people were experiencing tonight.
