Embed video frames on AddOn pages

How do you embed video links from like, YouTube/Vimeo on addon pages?
and are there any BBCode tags for it?

I know you can post them on forums threads, but not sure how that goes on addon pages ..

Awesome idea! Easy to implement aswell. Youtube has some nice HTML5 widgets to use.

What's wrong with a simple link to the video on YouTube/Vimeo/wherever? I'm probably in the minority here, but I find videos embedded in webpages to be really annoying, even if they don't autoplay. I just don't like watching videos, so it's just a big useless thing wasting space on the page.

If done right that extra page load is avoided and it's more pleasant not to leave the addon page.

If you like videos, that's true, but it also wastes bandwidth, which can be a problem for people who are on metered service plans. Even videos that don't autoplay download something when they load. Plus, nobody is going to watch your "how to set up my addon" video more than once, so it's still just a waste of page space for the majority of people viewing your addon page.

If you really think your addon needs a video, and you really don't want people to go to youtube.com to watch it, post it in a forum thread and link to that.

Also, you should always provide some text equivalent if your video is informational, so that the information is available to people who can't (for example, deaf people) or won't (for example, me, or people with limited bandwidth) watch the video.
