Uninstalling nui (just for now)

Ok first off, i love nUI, its exactly what i need, but the problem is im not used to it. I wanted to just disable / uninstall it on my main and then level my alts using nUI so i can slowly get used to it and its awsomeness. But something happened with my alt that i did disable it on, and its happened to my friend too. When it was disabled the chat area of the screen was way outa wack, (it ended up appearing down in the bottle left corner of my screen), so i could only see the very top line of the chat area. nUI and every other addon was turned off and my UI was reset. Its still messed up and wont go back to normal. Is there anything that has to be done prior to disabling it to prevent this, or is it just an isolated case? Any help on that would be greatly appreciated.

It's because Bliz remembers where the chat frame is when you move it for a toon (which nUI does)

You just need to mouse over the window until the settings tab appears, unlock it, drag it where you want it and resize it as you like, the lock it back. Standard built in Bliz UI configuration stuff there.
