Debuffs, buffs and cooldowns help!

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for some help regarding what the title states. I need to know, by class sorted, what buffs, debuffs and cooldowns are worth tracking. The reason for this? I am setting up rFilter for most (all if possible) classes for my UI.

Any help with this, even if you only post one spec for a class, will be much appreciated!

The idea is to keep it simple. Keep track of your own debuffs on your current target, keep track of important buffs/procs on yourself and also, keep track of your own most important cooldowns.

For example, for dps classes:

Shadow Priest

Debuffs
  • Vampiric Embrace
  • Shadow Word: Pain
  • Devouring Plague

Buffs
  • Shadow Orb
  • Dark Archangel
  • Dispersion

Cooldowns
  • Archangel
  • Shadowfiend
Another example, for healers;

Restoration Druid

Debuffs
  • None - (most people use other addons to track their dispelling duties)

Buffs
  • Lifebloom
  • Rejuvenation
  • Regrowth
  • Clearcasting

Cooldowns
  • Tree of Life
  • Innervate
  • Tranquility
  • Rebirth

You might want to add tracking in for the mastery buffs.. Speaking as a resto druid, I like to keep track of Harmony to make sure it is always active.

You could also check mods like EventHorizon- which i suggest because I almost dropped it for rFilter- or basic setups for any number of the tracking mods to give you a good idea where to start.

Feral Druid

** Buffs on self

Cat only
  • Dash (1850)
  • Savage Roar (52610)
  • Stampede (81021) — Rank 1
  • Stampede (81022) — Rank 2
  • Tiger's Fury (5217)
Both
  • Barkskin (22812)
  • Berserk (50334) — activated ability
  • Clearcasting (16870) — from Omen of Clarity
  • Survival Instincts (61336)
Bear only
  • Berserk (93622) — proc
  • Enrage (5229)
  • Frenzied Regeneration (22842)
  • Pulverize (80951)

** Debuffs cast by self

Cat only
  • Feral Charge - Cat (61138)
  • Maim (22570)
  • Mangle (33876)
  • Pounce (9005)
  • Pounce Bleed (9007)
  • Rake (1822)
  • Rip (1079)
Both
  • Faerie Fire (91565)
  • Mangle (33878)
Bears only need to see their own Mangle, if anything, because they're using it constantly. Cats need to see all Mangle-type effects, so they don't waste energy on Mangle in groups if someone else is already applying the effect.

Bear only
  • Bash (5211)
  • Challenging Roar (5209)
  • Demoralizing Roar (99)
  • Growl (6794)
  • Lacerate (33745)
  • Maim (22570)
  • Thrash (77758)

** Debuffs cast by others

These are really only useful in raids, where there are other people applying effects that are non-stacking equivalents of your effects.

Cat only
  • Gore (35290) — Mangle equivalent, applied by hunter boars
  • Hemorrhage (16511) — Mangle equivalent, applied by rogues
  • Stampede (57386) — Mangle equivalent, applied by hunter rhinos
  • Tendon Rip (50271) — Mangle equivalent, applied by hunter hyenas
  • Trauma (46857) — Mangle equivalent, applied by fury warriors via Blood Frenzy
Both
  • Corrosive Spit (35387) — Faerie Fire equivalent, applied by hunter serpents
  • Expose Armor (8647) — Faerie Fire equivalent, applied by rogues
  • Sunder Armor (7386) — Faerie Fire equivalent, applied by warriors
  • Tear Armor (50498) — Faerie Fire equivalent, applied by hunter raptors
Bear only
  • Curse of Weakness (702) — Demoralizing Roar equivalent, applied by warlocks
  • Demoralizing Roar (50256) — Demoralizing Roar equivalent, applied by hunter bears
  • Demoralizing Shout (1160) — Demoralizing Roar equivalent, applied by warriors
  • Scarlet Fever (81130) — Demoralizing Roar equivalent, applied by death knights
  • Vindication (26017) — Demoralizing Roar equivalent, applied by paladins
  • Dark Command (56222) — Growl equivalent, applied by death knights
  • Distracting Shot (20736) — Growl equivalent, applied by hunters
  • Hand of Reckoning (62124) — Growl equivalent, applied by paladins
  • Righteous Defense (31790) — Growl equivalent, applied by paladins
  • Taunt (355) — Growl equivalent, applied by warriors
  • Challenging Shout (1161) — Challenging Roar equivalent, applied by warriors
  • Death Grip (57604) — Challenging Roar equivalent, applied by death knights
  • Twin Howl (58857) — Challenging Roar equivalent, applied by shaman spirit wolves
Yes, Death Grip is a single-target ability, while the others are AoE, but it falls into the same category of being a temporary/fake taunt.

Shaman

Probably missing some elemental buffs/debuffs, since I don't play that spec.

Debuffs
  • Bind Elemental (76780)
  • Earth Shock (8042)
  • Earthquake (61882) — elemental only
  • Flame Shock (8050)
  • Freeze (63685) — PvP enhancement only, proc from Frozen Power talent
  • Frost Shock (8056)
  • Frostbrand Attack (8034)
  • Hex (51514)
  • Stormstrike (17364) — enhancement only
  • Unleash Earth (73684)
  • Unleash Frost (73682)

Debuffs from totems
  • Earthbind (3600)
  • Earth's Grasp (56425) — elemental only
  • Searing Flames (77661) — enhancement only, very important
  • Stoneclaw Stun (39796)

Buffs on self
  • Elemental Mastery (16166) — elemental only
  • Focused Insight (77800)
  • Lava Flows (65264) — elemental only
  • Lava Surge! (77762) — elemental only
  • Maelstrom Weapon (53817) — enhancement only
  • Nature's Swiftness (16188) — restoration only
  • Shamanistic Rage (30823) — enhancement only
  • Spiritwalker's Grace (79206)
  • Tidal Waves (53390) — restoration only
  • Unleash Flame (73683)
  • Unleash Life (73685)
  • Unleash Wind (73681)

Buffs on self that aren't important

These are procs that you can't really control (eg. some happen every time you crit), and that have no real effect on your gameplay choices while they're active (eg. increase attack speed, but you're going to attack all the time anyway), so you'd only want to show them if you're really curious.
  • Elemental Devastation (29178)
  • Flurry (16257) — Rank 1, enhancement only
  • Flurry (16277) — Rank 2, enhancement only
  • Flurry (16278) — Rank 3, enhancement only
  • Nature's Guardian (31616)
  • Seasoned Winds (97621) — Arcane version, PvP enhancement only
  • Seasoned Winds (97618) — Fire version, PvP enhancement only
  • Seasoned Winds (97619) — Frost version, PvP enhancement only
  • Seasoned Winds (97620) — Nature version, PvP enhancement only
  • Seasoned Winds (97622) — Shadow version, PvP enhancement only

Buffs on others
  • Ancestral Fortitude (16177) — Rank 1, restoration only
  • Ancestral Fortitude (16236) — Rank 2, restoration only
  • Earth Shield (974) — restoration only
  • Earthliving (51945)
  • Riptide (61295) — restoration only

Buffs from totems
  • Grounding Totem (89523) — reflect next spell
  • Grounding Totem Effect (8178) — absorb next spell
  • Spirit Link Totem (98007)

Buffs from totems that aren't important

Usually you won't care about seeing these buffs, since you'll just look at the duration timer on the totem itself. The only reasons you'd want to see these as buffs would be (a) you are obsessive about micro-managing other people's positioning and wish to yell at them when they move out of totem range, or (b) your raid leader is an obsessive micro-manager who will yell at you if someone moves out of your totem range and you don't move your totems immediately. Otherwise, the totem duration and some basic situational awareness should be more than sufficient to use your totems properly.
  • Elemental Resistance (8185)
  • Flametongue Totem (52109)
  • Healing Stream — not sure about the ID, don't have time to check in-game right now
  • Mana Spring (5677) — should double-check this ID
  • Mana Tide (16191)
  • Stoneskin (8072)
  • Strength of Earth (8076)
  • Tranquil Mind (87717)
  • Windfury Totem (8512)
  • Wrath of Air (2895)
