bg and arena spy

i have seen people posting in bg chat the names and classes for the apposing team. i have looked at bg spy and arena spy but neither 1 does it. anyone know the correct name for this 1.

prob ya. but im looking for a addon that tells me this info before the battle starts.

i did figure out if you use the bg spy it does tell you how many dps/ranged/healers there are on both teams.

but i thought i seen a few times it tells the name of healers as well

The only way to determine for sure which enemy priest is a healer and which is a damage-dealer is to either (a) get close enough to them to see if they have a role-specific buff active, like Shadowform, or are casting role-specific spells; or (b) check the scoreboard after some time has passed to see how much healing they have done. At the beginning of the battleground, you can only guess who are healers.

It's probably easier to do this kind of guesswork in an arena match, since there may only be one healing class on the enemy team.

iirc PvPness could grab the spec of the players in the opposing team, at the start of the bg

it seems to be the 16th return value of GetBattlefieldScore (*)

I'm pretty sure that the talent specialization information for the opposing team has been available since Wrath of the Lich King.

If you want get enemy build:

• Arena - parse spells used by enemy player and deduce his build from that.
• BG - use GetBattlefieldScore().

Also that will probably change when MoP will be released.
