Missing tooltips

I am having some sort of tooltip issue with some of my toons. When I mouse over my auras or and enemy's debuffs (the aura bars in lower left and right) I don't get a tooltip, regardless of being in combat.

This doesn't happen for my rogue at all, but neither of my healers (sham and priest) can mouseover an aura icon for a tooltip. The same goes for the debuffs/buffs that show on the HUD.

Is there a slash command thats controls tooltips for auras? I don't mean for action bars and spells, just buffs/debuffs. /nui rl has not fixed anything and i have the same addons enabled for my rogue (no tooltip issue).

**EDIT** It's just my shaman that has no aura tooltips, no other class is affected

NO there isn't -- do you have any other tooltip mods installed?

I don't think so; grid, clique, and forte are my extras. Like I said though, these are running for all my toons, and I'm not having issues on my rogue. I disabled everything except nUI to see if it was another addon causing the problem, but to no avail.

hmm, are you hovering over the writing or the icon ? Just wondering if the tooltip is based on the icon and not the name. Other than that, I am sure I had tooltips working fine on those as I have checked them to see the caster of the buffs I receive.

When it works, tooltip is based over the icon. After rechecking to see what could be interfering with the tooltip display, it turns out only my shaman is affected.

I have another shaman on a different server and her tooltips show up fine. She hasn't learned all the "call of" spells for the totem bar, and that bar is the ONLY thing different from toon to toon.

Could the totem bar somehow be affecting my tooltips on my shaman? It seems like a longshot since they seem so unrelated....

Nah, I don't think so. I have a baby shaman for testing on so I'll jump on her tomorrow and see whether her tooltips are fine but I'm sure I've seen them working as per normal.

If I had to guess, since this only affects one toon, I would assume the problem is a character configuration issue. You might try using the '/nui tooltips owner' command on that toon and see what happens.

That fixed it

I messed around with the /nui tooltips settings and turns out I was using "mouse" before. Is that setting intended to hide tooltips on auras?

Thanks, now I can read what my debuffs are again

No... that's an actual bug in the code that the mouse tooltip feature doesn't work with auras for some reason.
