the question i have is a freind of mine and i both have it his profesion mod marks his mining spots automatly mine dont what do i need to do other than that i love it

The latest version automatically comes with the Mining module... so it just sounds like deleting your current version first and then installing the latest one will get you the tracking like your friend has. Here's the direct link to Cartographer:

Also make sure it is turned on in the options. Option button is on the big map.
