Format of item link

Hi,

I can't find any information regarding the format of item links. I mean the "item:a:b:c:d" notation. It seems, that "a" is the unique ID of the item (?) and "b", "c" and "d" seems to be almost every time zero. Does anybody know the meaning of the item link components?

from whatI can tell the first is the unique id second one is enchantment third is item descriptor, like of the eagle, and the fourth makes no sense to me at all.

You could check out another mods documentation. ie: I know my guild uses a mod to keep track of items dropped on MC so we can keep going faster.

ah, item links, one of my favourites

you can check these two threads from an other forum:
http://forums.worldofwar.net/showthread.php?t=345285
http://forums.worldofwar.net/showthread.php?t=349819

For me it look like the following:

a: unique ID of the base item
b: unique ID for a player enchantment (armor kits, magic enchanted, ...)
c: unique ID of the suffix ('of the monkey' and so on)
d: unique ID for the item itself to keep track of who crafted, soulbound, maybe quests, ...

For me it looked like eg min level and sell price are only based on a but lately I found that soulbound items will give you less cash. but I havend found a way (besides scanning the tooltip) to find out if an item is soulbound :/
