Routing problems

Whenever I am following Carbonite routes either in tandem with Archy for digsites or to gather herbs/ore, there are the odd nodes that fall directly outside of the zone borders. When I cross between zones, the routes feature stops pointing me towards the nodes and points towards the zone connections (the icon that looks like the mage portal to orgrimmar icon).

Is this intended or is it a bug? I didn't do this when routing up intil the 4.1 beta version. I assumed it would be fixed in 4.1 non beta but it's still there. If anything, is there a way to prevent routing from connecting to zone connections?
