Mail alert

I may have missed it if it is in NUI but is there an in game mail alert or some way to let you know when new mail is ready? I downloaded another add on to let me know, but if there is one in the mod please point me to it. BTW great MOD so far!!

The standard blizz one is working fine for me. Envelope appears at the top of the minimap.

Did the install on a clean WOW setup as the instructions said and had someone send a test mail and it was in the mailbox but no alert that I could see. I checked the location on the minimap but it did not show up until I added the addon which has a sound that is a bit of a pest.

Hmm, strange. Did you wait for the hour it takes for a mail from a different account to get to you ? I've only noticed addons between users alert before that time.

Yes, gave it like hour and 45 mins, plus sent a test from one of my alts which is there in a few seconds and still no alert. Checked LUI errors and nothing there, clean.

Hmm very strange. What other addons do you have without your mail addon ?

I'll give it a test shortly and see if I get it working as I expected with just nUI running.

During the test only NUI+ I ran it like that for 3 or so hours to check out the UI.

I went back and removed the alert addon I installed and tried it again and on the minimap what I get is a "very" small bump/dot gold in color that is Very hard to see, after checking mail it went away. If you are not looking very hard at the minimap you will never see it. I am running 1280/1024 res and everything other than this works fine and I can see it ok.

Thats the same resolution as me and it doesn't look like a small bump to me. But yeah, it took me awhile to find where it pops up.

Ok here is what I did, uninstalled NUI+ and deleted both the WTF and Interface folders from WOW and restarted the game and logged in. Shutdown WOW and installed a fresh copy of nUI_5.05.02_Plus and went back in game and yes the mail alert is there now. Still small but I can see it as it should be, not a little gold bump. So it looks like that issue is taken care of. So on to another question, has anyone had issues with the number of button spaces fore spells with priests and the like? I have a priest and a pally and the number of healing spells they have and you need to use is large. Maybe because I was using bartender 4 and had something like 8 rows of spells on my screen on my priest makes me think I will not be able to find the needed spell in a raid or something, but what have other people done to handle this?

I have a priest, druid and shaman healer. And yes the priest does have more spell options. I have my main spells on the main action bar with the back up spells on the bar below. Most of the time however I use healbot so bar space hasn't been an issue in that case. When I do heal on my priest I general use these spells : Flash Heal, Renew, Prayer of Healing, Prayer of Mending and Circle of Healing. Anything else are filler spells like the two hymns to get mana and health regen for the raid and the shadowfiend macro.

This is the nearest to what I use. Basically the shadowcrawl ability is new to 3.1 and boosts the shadowfiend damage alot. Unfortunately he doesn't do it automatically and you have to tell him to use it. You get to spam the button to get him to shadowcrawl twice before he times out but I can call him out at almost no mana and after those 2 shadowcrawl attacks I will be almost full mana if not full mana.

Some of the other sites I have been to you will grow old and die before the question is answered, here time I get it posted I have a response

I will be telling my friends about this and NUI and help my wife who is now talking about using it, now if I can just get her out of the keyboard turning and clicking.
