ButtonFacading

What are the requirements needed to create a ButtonFacade skin? I have an envision of a magnificent UI... I just don't know how to make it. ButtonFacade is the first step

If you look at the .tga then you'll know everything you need really... :3

At least that's how I did it, but I stole Elloria's code as well

When I open up the .tga files with QuickTime, they show weird looking black and white squares... They don't look anything like that in game o.o

I don't know what QuickTime is but there's different skins for different things you do with action bars.

There's one normal skin, gloss skin, pushed skin etc. and they look different depending on who created them.

But you should try GIMP, it's a free and awesome image editor. Just google it and you'll find their website/download.

QuickTime? The program that goes with iTunes . And is GIMP safe? I'm a safety freak I've also noticed that some skins come with Overlay.tga. What does THAT do?

I'm continually amazed at the apparent difficulty of using Google search.

GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is free, and many people swear that it's just as powerful as the non-free Photoshop. I've seen a plethora of images created with it that make me believe them.

You can find it here.

This is what the current Normal texture shows up as using GIMP:

And here is the current highlight:

Ideally, the end result would look like this:

Unfortunately, the Normal texture is all one color: white (although I have my BF addon make it black). How do I make the Highlight border show up on the Normal layout?
