Downloaded New Release - Major Issues

NUI is now unusable to me until I figure out how to fix this.

I downloaded the new release this morning before logging into WoW. I logged in and got an error message. The entire interface in the center of the lower part of my screen and the unit frames is not working at all. I can't even check to see if anything else is working.

This is an issue that has been around for a couple of releases now for some users and appears to have been made worse for some by the 3.3.3 patch.

If you would try an experiment for me please... exit WoW and rename the folder [ World of Warcraft > WTF ] to [ World of Warcraft > WTF.saved ] then log back in and let me know if that "fixes" the problem fory you?

That worked for the nui unit frames and the bars at the bottom of screen. I had to (lol) figure out how to set it (wow) to windowed view and when I did the buttons that are usually on the upper right of my screen are now moved about 3 to 4 inches towards the middle of the screen.

edit:

And the lower right and left bars are now moved over to the center a bit (chat frame and recount etc etc )

I also scrolled back thru the chat and found a nui message there about and anchoring issue. Not sure how to copy from the chat box to post it here.

Would a screen shot help to show the things that are wrong? Everytime I look I find something that is out of place or almost as if its the wrong size, etc

Yes a screen shot would help... also, if you could, scroll back the chat frame to show the error message at the same time.

PS: You can upload the screen shot directly in your reply -- you do *not* need to upload it to a picture site... There's a paperclip icon on the message editor you can click to upload the screen shot right into your message.

OKay -- that looks to me like your nUI install is "damaged" -- at least the HUD appears to be.

Can you exit WoW then delete the [ Interface > AddOns > nUI ] folder and then re-install nUI and see if that fixes it?

Also... do you have any other mods installed? If so, which ones?

As long as you're not using the nUI+ version, yes... Curse is fine. However, if you're running nUI+ that you *must* manually install it using the download from here at WoWI.

And I don't see any problems in the addons you're using with nUI. I use all of the mods you listed (though I have since replaced Omen/Recount with Skada) and have no issues with them and you didn't list any nUI plugins.

Neither of those should cause an issue either.

I am wondering if it is possible that Omen or Recount are hiccuping?

Did deleting the nUI folder and reinstalling it fix the problem? If not, just for giggles, try turning off Recount, Omen and nUI_InfoPanel_Stats and logging back in... problem solved? Failing that, try turning nUI_InfoPanel_Minimap off and logging back in... still borked?

only issue I have now is (small issue) that I can't get the minimap into the center frame box in the lower part of interface. Did I mess that up with my carbonite?

Try the command '/nui minimap' and see if that resolves it.

Also, check your Carbonite settings. It appears, from your screenshots, that you have the minimap integrated into Carbonite.

No it did not but i think its a carbonite issue. I will check that out first and let you know.

Yes the mini map issue was a carbonite setting problem but I had to uninstall both nui and carbonite then install nui put minimap in nui center frame and then install carbonite.

I want to thank spiel2001 for both helping me today so quickly and creating such a great addon.

Those last five are part of the auctioneer suite. Stubby and Slidebar are libraries - Stubby is a required dependency for some of the other stuff, Slidebar is what enables the "sildebar thing which defaults to hiding on the right edge (iirc) of the screen so that you can click on it and out pops a horizantal menu giving you access to auctioneer's modules. Informant appends an info box to your item tooltips with various information (such as what crafts use it). Bean Counter keeps track of your auctions, and whether they've gained or lost. !Swatter is a debugging tool.

My recommendations on those five: turn off Slidebar (you really don't need it), keep Stubby (unless you're not using anything that depends on it), replace !Swatter with Bugsack, because it's just better (I think I got it from WoWInterface, and I'm pretty sure it's available on Curse), keep Informant (I find it useful in deciding what to do with stuff), keep Bean Counter only on your banker.

BTW, Bugsack puts an LDB broker on your Titan bar. If you shift-click on it, it'll reload the ui for you.
