Combat Log

Hi, I've been using nUI+ and I've been able to fix it so that it's perfect...almost.

The only thing I want to change is the Combat Log. I don't want to see any of the combat details...I don't care about any of that. So, I went into the Settings of that chat frame and changed it to instead show Experience, Honor, Rep, Item Loot, and other things. This works great for a little while, but it never stays. If I reload the interface (or randomly while playing), it changes to what it was before.

How do I get this to stay?!

How are you setting up your custom filters?

The "right" way, to the best of my knowledge, is to right click the combat log tab and select settings, then go to combat log and create a new filter... then set that filter up to show/hide and so on as you like... make sure you save the filter and then you should be all set.

I don't have any problem with my filters being deleted or reset when I exit and re-enter the game or reload.

I uncheck everything relating to combat, as the things I want to show are not related to combat. I deleted all the filters except one, which has everything unchecked. Then I went to the "Other" category and selected the things I wanted. The "combat" category stays the way it should, but the things selected in the "Other" category revert to what they were before upon reload.

Don't try to alter the default filters... create your own filter as a new filter and go from there. I'm pretty sure the default filters are ultimately unchangeable.

That's what I did...

The problem is unrelated to the combat category and the filters. I uncheck everything in the Combat category and everything stays unchecked in that category upon reload. The Other category is what resets.

Ah... okay... well... I might suggest reporting that to Blizzard because that's going to be a game bug for sure. You might search the official WoW forums too, odds are there's a slew of posts on the subject. You might get some answers there.
