Character portrait

I just downloaded and installed the newest version of nui. I dont seem to have a character portrait anymore, or bag buttons visible. I reset the wtf and addon files already, no sucess in restoring either

Can you attach a screenshot as it sounds like there might be an addon loading error.

Try using just nUI on its own, not even with nUI plugins just in case there is a problem with them for one reason or another.

If that works slowly add in a few addons at a time and stop when it goes wrong again. That will give you an idea as to which addons may be having problems. Make a note of them and post them here. It might be the case that they are just not compatible with nUI or nUI needs to be tweaked to work along side them.

Disabled all addons Then enabled just nUI core No portrait or bag buttons yet

ok, can you use the attach option and attach a screenshot so that I can see if what I suspect is happening. If you only have nUI running and it is happening something weird is going wrong somewhere.

ah, I see what you mean now. Yeah Ive had that happen a few times in the past but not seen it in a long while.

There might be a post around here somewhere that explains how to stop it or what is causing it but I can't recall at present.

Does a reload of the UI fix it ?

Edit: Did a search here for nUI + portrait but none of the threads sounds similar but I am sure people have mentioned it in the past here.

Which version of nUI do you mean by "latest"? If I'm not mistaken, nUI6 doesn't show the bag buttons (although I think it should show the character portrait, but I'm not in game right now).
