Bag Menu Tracking Mod Thing

Here's my idea. And I'm quite willing to cobble together the mod as my first script work ever. However, I don't want to tromp on anyone else's work if they've done it already.

What I'd like to do is hide the following: Calendar Button, Tracking Button, Micro Menu. Then, I'd make them accessible by clicking one of three glossy that are displayed in a strip that is movable anywhere. I've attached an example pic.

My question is so: Is it possible, and would it be very terribly hard to do?

edited to add: "bag" is also in the title as I was thinking initially about moving the Bag button into the strip as well ... but my bag button is a single button due to being modified by Dominos. Not everyone's bag is, so maybe not the best idea to do. Still not sure about that one.
