Info Panel Suggestion

I was curious is there anyway to make a info panel just with nothing but empty button bars - so i can put all my leatherworking/milling/smelting macros and such in this info panel, would save me a lot of real estate on my intereface buttons and can utilize those more for playing in combat. Sorry i am a big crafter lol.

Suggestions? If someone can easily explain how to do it i can attempt it myself but hell i am still learning how to make nui art lol!!!

Have a look at my MagePorts addon. It creates secureaction buttons for the portal spells. You should be able to tweak it to fit your needs. You'd have to look into how to use the secureaction functions to use macros or other non spell items.

If you really want to learn how to do it go ahead and take a look but if you decide its too much for you at the moment I am sure there are a few of us that could implement something more generic.

Oh so you made mageports the savior. I love it

I will look at it when i get off work tomorrow morning. I assume use notepad or something similar to play around with it? The layout for mage port would be perfect, would need to add another 10 buttons at least to it but yes that would be great to use. I will attempt * cough newbie * to fiddle with it.

Yes, notepad should be enough for you to play with.

Mageports.lua is the meat of the code and sets up what gets displayed in the infopanel.

nUI_InfoPanel_MagePorts.lua contains the code to get the information displayed in the infopanel. You should only need to change a few of the lines that reference MagePorts to get it to work.

Remember to change the Infopanel number though so that it doesn't clash with numbers that could already exist. picking a higher number should be fine.

I've tried to document the code enough for people to pick up what I did and why. Feel free to ask questions though if you have any.

this is a great idea and with it i would be able to get rid of opie the only reason i have it is for the mage ring and profesions ring and with mage portal/telaport info panel its half useless

Yeah I use cryolysis for a similar reason on my mage and priest. Access to buffs and ports etc. I'm considering making a buff panel but not having all the available classes that buff people it would be hard to double check things. But its just an idea at the moment.

ok got it most of the way done got the buttons change (still need to add a couple and i think im gona need some help with that) and got it set for all classes to use it

Some1 help him a hand so he can release that,would be nice to have that plugin,cause im a craftgeek too.
