i just thought id post saying i had the same issue. No quest tracker window, not using any sort of mod that alters that window whatsoever.

I just now finally got it to show up.

I was following the steps listed. uncheck the 4 boxes in the Objectives interface menu, then check them again. But I wasnt getting the window to show up, even when using the macro listed in this post.

Then i remembered another time i had this issue, when BC launched. I had just started to use a addon that moved the minimap. I had put it in the same place nUI does. After about an hour messing and checking with different mods, I found that the objective window was 'tied' to the minimap window.

So using that, i disabled nui from managing the minimap. lo and behold. the objective window appeared right under the minimap on all characters i had tried this on. Mind you I am currently using the Dev version of nUI+ availible now.

Just thought id post this in case people were still having the same problem

You wouldn't happen to be using Sexymap are you? It also has built in controls for the objectives window and they do conflict. I hear there is a setting in SM to disable controlling of that window. I recommend disabling it and trying again.

FWI: I was experiencing the exact same concern as the OP and this did correct it, but I had to log out, disable nUI, log in and run the macro then reposition. After that, I was able to log out again, re enable nUI and my objectives panel was back (Hooray!).

There's actually a slash command to address this problem now...

• /nui watchframe

This command causes nUI to reset the size and location of the advanced objectives tracking window the default location for the current nUI layout.


It's been documented in a few places, sorry you had to go through the trials and tribulations before you found it.

I can't get anything to work. I've read the entire thread and done everything there is to do.. nothing works unless I turn off all addons. Do you think Carbonite is interfering?

When I try the slack command, I get this;

I'm using the latest Dev version of nUI.

I thought the Developers version was for testing and was supposed to have newer updates than the release version. Am I misunderstanding??

Yeah -- the developer version is for testing on the live realms, the PTR version for testing on the public test realm. The updates that I have been mailing out of late were for the PTR only. There hasn't been a developer version release since I started work on nUi6 and likely won't be until nUI6 is ready for public consumption.

Ahhh, ok (blush). I have the Release version installed.... the /nui watchframe command works beautifully.

/whispers.... Um, I can't remember what I did to make the pet bar bigger or how I added the Health/Mana/Rage numbers above the Health Race bar for the Simple Hud. Would you be so kind as to point me to the proper posts so I can edit that stuff again? Sorry, haven't been to bed yet and I'm feeling a bit addlepated this morning lol.
