Unknown pet error

I just started a hunter and finally got around to getting a second pet. I'm now running into the problem, with the new pet, that whenever I dismount, login, hearth, or instance port the message that nUI gives is, "nUI: unknown is ..." as opposed to saying the pet's name. When the pet does get unhappy or if I just reload the UI, it will say the pet's name there like normal though. Just wondering if there's a potential reason for this, or if it's something that happens to a lot of people. Thanks in advance for the help.

That happens to me all the time. I don't believe it's anything at all to worry about so I never asked about it.

My guess is that it's caused by nUI asking for the pet's name and Blizz not responding fast enough before the message gets printed. If it works that way, then it would get much worse with lag also.

Vis is correct... when you dismount the unit frame for your pet is shown but for some reason Blizzard isn't always ready with the pet's name, so when I query for the name I get a "nil" response which causes me to print the pet's name as "unknown" -- when that happens nUI will start rechecking the pet name until it is ready and then "fix" itself.

Yeah, this actually happens to 'anything' when loading anywhere. When I fist log into the game sometimes, I see myself with 'Unknown, Champion of the Frozen Wastes' over my head. It's just that the name tag has loaded before the game has actually loaded the name. xD
