'You are Dead' Addon

I've had an idea for an addon, and I never can get it to work correctly... I utterly fail at LUA so I was wondering if anyone here could possibly make it.

Basically my idea is this: A small, lightweight addon that announces that you are dead.

So like, when you die it would say in whatever channel you're already in (be it /p, /raid, /s, /y or whatever) a phrase. Perhaps: "[character name] has died!", or "I'm dead!"

If anyone can do this (it should be easy as pie really...) I was also wondering it it would be able to have a ultility to have the phrase changed... Personaly I'd like it to say "FAIL!"

I want it because sometimes I die without people in my party/raid realizing I'm dead until it's too late for revival. This way people can actually see that I have died.

Also, it'd be funny as crap during the Heigan fight, to see my character call herself a Fail because she died dancing.

anyhow, if anyone can help me this would be awsome... If not, sorry for the bother ^^'

For the time being, I'd use Bindpad and create some macros with what you want to say, then just drag+drop and set the key bind to something you won't accidentally hit.

Nice Idea,

Could you manybe add in a function for it to annouce as a Raid warn if Tank and healer as well

Or how about the option to whisper the person saying what killed them, if it was an attack and by how much (think it's in the combat log, but I usually take 5 mins trying to find it).

Just some Idea's

Yeah I was thinking of stuff like that to add last night. It'd be pretty nice, I'm a healer that's why I wanted it mainly :P

I can add a setup checkbox to copy to /rw.
I currently don't have the time needed to research parsing the combat log, however I will add that part to the list.
