How to log combat text to a file ? please help

Ive searched for a possibility to log chat or combat text to a text file and it doesnt seem to be possible in WoW. Ive even asked a GM and he said it doesnt exist. Every online game i have played was able to do that. !!

Is there no mod or other way to do that ? :-( I would like to check my battles later and see what went well or wrong.

IIRC the command is /chatlog and / or /combatlog
