I saw this and laughed...

Kissimmee
Florida

I live in Orlando. Most people come from Kissimmee to Sci-Fi-City for Warhammer 40k games on Saturday and Ive gone over there for some CoC tourneys.

Yup... I love Central Florida... the only place I would go from here would be to a Caribbean Island. ~lol~ South Florida doesn't do much for me, too many freaks in the Keys to go there... though the entertainment value might be worth it ~grin~

I love the Orlando/Kissimmee area -- short trip to either coast and more to do here than you can accomplish in a decade.

If Canada agrees to abolish both snow and temperatures below 60F (which would accomplish the first term -- but you gotta lose the rain that the snow would become while you're at it), you've got a deal. Otherwise, um... no.

~lol~

Rofl its similar in Colorado. Could have blazing 70 degree weather one day and 2 days later 5 inches of snow. Next day .. 2ft of snow .. next day .. 70 degree weather - rofl. Told my mum whenever the weather changes there and she says its crazy .. but hey .. no rain and more chance of snow. Just what a lil brit girl likes

Yes, here in the Denver area we get days of what we call "useless" weather. That's where the sun is shining but the snow is still melting off from last night, so not much you can do outside.

Colorado weather is much milder than in the northern Mid-West (Michigan anyone?) but still too cold for me. I'm at the age where I want the sun shining to mean I can go outside and play golf or something.

Hell May, i used to take trips up to canada every year to go fishing and i can remember one year we were out on lake ontario with a pleasant temp of about 65 and out of no where it started snowing... in JULY!
It was so strange yet beautiful at the same time. Snow stopped about 45 min later.
And i thought the weather here in south dakota was fickle lol

im originally from Alabama.. we would get snow.. maybe once to twice a year.. and it would rarely stick or even amount to much... then i moved to Kentucky.. i have seen more snow in the past 3 months then i have seen in 20 years....(20 years being the entirety of my life span... ) i totally made a snow man and a snow angel...

what gets me though is like right now its sitting in the mid 70s...; but with like zero humidity... im so used to Alabama heat being humid and sticky

Rofl.. Im almost twice your age and seen about 10 snowfalls... and similar hot days.

When Im in Colorado when it snows .. I am first out of the door to make footprints and throw snowballs for the dog to try and catch. I'm really like a big kid.

When I was a wee lad, back in the early 60's, my Granddad had a place in upper Vermont. I remember spending a Christmas there when we were fully snowed in. I also remember Granddad opening the front door and the snow was stacked higher against the door than I was tall. He gave me something to dig with, to entertain myself, and I tunneled my way out into the front yard. Within a day or so I had a whole network of tunnels I was playing in. One of the coolest memories I have from my childhood.

Now that sounds like it was fun, lol. My folks have told me about the winters they used to enjoy in Maine also. Namely the snow being high enough that they could sled off the roof

Too bad the snow doesn't occasionally get that deep anymore.

*In NH here so much like a few other parts of this country the saying goes......If you don't like the weather in New England, wait 5 minutes, it'll change :P

Rofl, better than in Old England where the saying is .. 'why the heck haven't you got an umbrella' .. Umbrella's and a waterproof outfit are pretty much the attire for most of the year here. We're so used to it raining that we wen't into dire straits when we had a drought for two years. Well the first 6 months was enjoyable but when the lakes and rivers dried up we started to worry.

I live in Atlantic Canada, we only just got rid of snow a couple days ago but I like it here. If it was that hot all the time I'd probably melt D:
