Standard WoW interface trouble

hey guys i just recently got Carbonite and i noticed that when i started WoW the "eagles" or whatever birds down near the actionbars at the very bottom are gone. So i logged out and disabled the addon and then logged back in and i looked to see that the birds were back. So my question is has anyone else had this problem? and also how do i fix this?

I really would like to keep using carbonite and dont want to use questhelper.
