I know it's already in nUI ---- BUT

nUI is the absolute best thing to happen to WOW, well, since WOW started

But, I'm having some difficulties dealing with the raid frames.

For me, once I get into a 15/20/25 man raid I can bearly see the names of the players, which makes it difficult to target them, & I can't sort them due to the "bug".

So right now I'm using Ozraid and that seems to work OK for me. So, is there a way to disable the raid frames so I'm not adding to my cpu usage and duplicating the info?

Thanks

Yes... first use the '/nui autogroup' command to turn off nUI's automatic switching of unit frame panels when your group status changes. Then manually switch to either the solo player unit frame panel or the party panel (I recommend using the party panel in raid if you can)

You should see most of the concerns you have with raid unit frames addressed in nUI 6.0

I did as you suggested & disabled the autogroup function & used the party mode for the last 2 raids. A side benefit I noticed was that my FPS increased from an average of 3-6 in a fight to 14+ & lag seemed to be less of a problem then it has been (it was staying around 400 now it’s around 250). FPS & lag were improved in Dalaran also.

Last night I was in a 25 man Naxx(H) & cycled through the other raid panel settings, as I increased to the 25 man & 40 player settings my FPS & lag dropped back to 3-6 & lag shot up to the 400+ mark again. Cycling back to solo or party panels kept the lower FPS & high lag. To clear it I had to do a nUI reload.

Another problem I’ve been having is that I would get a slight hesitation (freezes) in game play when I’m moving around in the world. This would happen quite often & last for about a half second & then return to normal. This has also improved with autogroup disabled & now very seldom happens, although I can’t see any connection to the autogroup function & what I’m experiencing overall.

I thought my IT connection & older computer were to blame for my low & slow frame rates & lag but it seems like something in the raid panels are causing these issues, and as I have been a nUI user since long before I got to lvl 80 & into raiding, I didn’t have a base to compare to & made the best of things.

Is there a way to completely disable the raid panels?

Another thread mentioned deleting the 15, 20, 25 & 40 man folders. Can I do this to all the folders & not break nUI?

Thanks

YOu gain nothing by either deleting those panels or by disabling them... when the panel is hidden, the elements in it are inactive. So I wouldn't worry over that.

Have you tried doing the clean install as per this FAQ? http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=21716
