Carbonite 4.0006 - Quest Update Causes Lower FPS

I have tried this with and without Carbonite enabled and have found it only occurs when Carbonite is Enabled. During combat you will frequently see drops in FPS of 30-40FPS. Every time you have a quest update that occurs you will also notice a momentary massive drop in FPS.

I'm not really sure what else I can provide as to why this is occurring, it's happening on 2 different computers with completely different addon setups aside from Carbonite, and completely different hardware (video cards).

You need to test it with all other addons disabled.

Also press ESC, click Interface, then Objectives and make sure the 2 Auto Quest settings are off.

The framerate drop still occurs even with only Carbonite loaded. I toggled the Framerate display, upon a quest status change i drop 30-40 FPS. Turn off carbonite and do the same, and no drops.

But did you "make sure the 2 Auto Quest settings are off."?

I get the same thing, but it's not a drastic drop.
Carbonite is the only add-on I use, and all boxes in the "Objectives" tab are unchecked.

I don't know why you are are getting that. All our testing so far has not seen any lag. Just a bit of loot lag a few times, but that is normal.

I just made a lvl 1 hunter and ripped through 4-5 quests and all was good. I even turned on the Blizzard auto quest settings and nothing bad happened.

My son did a few quests on a 43 pally an hour ago and he noticed nothing weird.

Yup, I made sure all boxes were unchecked.

This is full on graphics lag i'm experiencing. The game jerks and the FPS drops at the same time. I'll check some other classes and see if it happens on them too, and a different computer as well. Experienced it on my Druid/Paladin so far, 2 different computers.

Sorry, but I have no other answers at the moment other than the usual:

1. Reboot your computer
2. Delete Cache folder
3. Rename WTF to WTFold
4. Test

hmm it seems i'm experiencing this as well, everytime i complete a quest objective my framerate goes from 60fps to like 10 fps for a second or so, its really annoying. it is definetly being caused by carbonite as when i disable it it no longer happens

I can recall similar issues with some other addons.

What other addons are you running?

We are currently only using CT_BufMod, CT_MailMod, Pawn and Smartbuf.
