Class bar

Hey Scott,
First I would like to say that I really appreciate the work you put into this and even though I've only been using this for about a week, I really like this UI.

My question is about the class bar (I think that's what it is). I play a paladin, and there is a bar that has all of my auras and my mount on it: is there a way to just hide that bar? I use autobar (I'm addicted to it, lol, makes it into every UI I've ever used), and it already has all of that stuff in it.

I read elsewhere that you were working on being able to move the bars, but I didn't know if that would include hiding them as well.

Again, thx for your hard work.

Oh, I forgot to include my other question: Is there a way to make the panel at the top not pop out so far when I mouseover? I would like to make it stick out about 1/4 of an inch less from the top.

You may be able to tweak the top bar size by editing the hud layout files but the reason it pops out that far is for future enhancements if I remember rightly.

I'm not sure what you mean by class bar as I don't recall anything like that as part of the normal blizz ui. The bars in nUI are just a repositioning of the standard blizz bars.

What other bar mods do you have ?
Have you tried the game with just nUI active and see if the bar appears then ?
Do you have a screenshot so we can see what bar you are talking about ?

The stance bar will have your auras but shouldn't have your mount icon automatically set up. My warlock would have been similarly gifted but she doesn't have a special mount button.

There's no way to hide that bar on a per character level which could be an issue if you have hunter or other class with a pet because that same bar is used for pets. It would also be an issue if you do any quests that involve possession... that is not just the pally aura bar, it's a complex mix of functionality.

Also, from a design philosophy perspective, I do not support disabling features that are built into nUI so they can be replaced with another mod that does the same thing... it runs contrary to everything that motivated the creating of nUI. Using other mods to *add* functionality to nUI is something else though.

Not disabling the bar is cool if that is part of the design philosophy, but are there plans to make it moveable at least? The main issue is that sitting where it is currently, it limits how I can stack my bars. It would be cool if I could just move it to a different spot on the screen.

It's by no means a deal breaker, because I like the UI =D ...it would just be nice to reposition it =)

If you're using the nUI+ Development version 5.03.04 it should already be movable... just use '/nui movers'

If you're still using the release version of nUI, then you'll have to wait until I cut the next release.

thanks! I am running new development version and I got the bar moved exactly where I want it....I also got my mail bars set up just right.

Makes me want to donate again =)
