WoW Minimap Pinging

Hi All,

Just 2 questions

1. Does the widget function Minimap:PingLocation(x,y) actually still work in patch 2.4.3 because I cant get it to do anything in script files?

2. How can I pass the current co-ordinates of my player as returned by GetPlayerMapPosition to the minimap ping function in order to ping where I am currently standing on the minimap?

Relatively new at lua and WoW programming so all constructive advice welcomed
