Changing debuff size in simple HUD mode

I was able to make the debuffs bigger if I have a HUD up, but I can't find which setting/file to change this in for the simple HUD. Could someone point me to the right place to make this change.

TY

At this time, debuffs are not displayed in the simple HUD. If you would like to add them, you can copy the debuff data segment from either of the other HUDs into the simple HUD... just make sure you copy player to player, target to target, etc., and you should be fine.

Hm, maybe I'm explaining it wrong.

When I'm in simple hud mode, I see the timers for mangle, rake, etc etc on the mob. Is it possible to make those a little bigger?

Ah... those are not debuffs, those are your HOTs and DOTs on the target... aka the HOT/DOT bar. yes... you can change the size of them, but for now you have to edit the HUD skin files to do that.

I'm at work doing this from memory, so you'll have to fill in the blanks on this... but...

The file you're after for the is [ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Layouts > Default > HUDLayouts > {hud mode} > nUI_HUDSkin_{hud mode}_Target.lua ] -- toward the bottom you'll find a section for ["Auras"] -- I don't recall which element it is, but I think it's element [2] that is the "help" segement -- in any event, whichever element is the one that's set up for helpful auras and player casts will have an option for the size of the auras... increasing that will increase the size of the buttons. Just be aware that doing so will likely cause them to overlap other elements in the HUD, so you may have to play with the anchor a bit, too.

EDIT: I also don't understand why you're using another unit frame mod to add unit frames to the display area when they're already in the dashboard. If you want player and target health/power in the view area, you should consider using the HUD for that... you can use the HUD scale and hGap features to change the size and spacing of the bars... it would be far more efficient both in terms of frame rate and UI integration... but to each their own I guess.

Babysteps, I'm old and set in my ways. Eventually I'll phase out the xperl.

Hehe. Old enough that some of my guildmates could be my kids...

I got the size change to work as well

Would it be a safe bet that Timer, Fontsize is the place to make the countdown text bigger?

Edit
Made the timer font bigger and moved it so it was inside the dot rather than below it.

Yay for customization

That's not saying much. I'm 30, and my oldest is turning 9 next week. Not only does she want to start playing, but there's atleast one guildie that's her age, and I know there's ALOT of early to mid teens in my guild also. So anyone over say 33 or so could easily say they have guildies that could be thier kids.....

On another note, I'm feeling old again, even though Scott could be my father..... LOL

Cool My 9 yr old plays, he should be 80 in a week or so. We're negotiating the terms of his epic flying skill payment. Hehe.

~lmao~

My 11yo daughter plays and she's an animal... marks targets in instances and lives for PvP. Personally, I think WoW is a *great* game for kids and I would far rather she play WoW than watch TV any day of the week... she's learning problem solving, spacial relationship, teamwork, goal setting, tasking and socialization skills... all valuable stuff for a good life. Beat an episode of Hannah Montana six ways from Sunday.

I agree, WoW has helped to improve my son's reading skills. Though he does like to talk about how he could 'pwn' someone, but at his age I guess it's still cute. He loves pvp as well, he used to get on my druid and go to Wintergrasp all the time. He can't wait to raid and begs me each week if he can take over for me on Flame Leviathan. We take him each week to kara with us to farm the huntsman's mount, earning himself the nickname Jr. Raider.

I wish my daughter would play, but she thinks it's lame (she's 11 as well). There is still hope for her though, she asked if she could join the D&D tabletop game we're starting

I'm glad both are interested in games, they can learn about teamwork and problem solving from them, just as easily as they could from sports etc and it doesn't require me to drive them to any 5am practices =)
