Addon Authors Leaving WoW

So I've noticed a couple of the addons I use no longer have any support, because the addon author as left WoW. Is there any chance of other addon authors picking up where the original author left off? I'm not saying me, because I don't know anything about addon development, but I hate to not have the use of an addon in the future.

Addons that I'm using that no longer have support.

Broke_Group (Formerly GroupFu -- No idea when this addon will be fixed)
MoveAnything (Latest Update was October 30th, but addon author states they are done with WoW)

I'm sure there are other addons which are no longer being supported, but I'm tired right now.

Broker_Group had someone pickup the project as a fan update kind of thing. There was also a fix uploaded on the curseforge website at one point under the tickets tab. Not sure if either is still working or not.

Move anything is still maintained but only new versions are being posted on curse.
