Need some help deciding...

I was looking through the mods and I need some help. Could someone tell me which mods are good for casting bars, character/pet bars, xp bars, and I want one (1) bar in the middle with the pet bar under it with my skills/macros on it. I can't decide what mods are for what. Thanks in advance.

Check out Quartz for casting bars
Bartender3 or Bongos2 for Action bars(for your spells and macros) (Both of these also provide an xp bar)
Pitbull, AGUnitFrames or Sage for Player/Target/party/pet/even raid Frames
They are the ones that stand out, for me.

I use Quartz, Bartender3 and Pitbull, out of them, they have a little but more functionality

Ag_unitframes is a good choice indeed for a simple group/raid frame setup. get it at http://www.wowace.com/ and dont forget to pick up the range checker as ag_uf doesnt have have that built in yet.

As for actionbars id say bartender3 is a bit more complex to set up but its well worth it. In the long run it doesnt interfere with much of the other mods you might have as bongos usually does if its a full install.

I would however not recommend quarts for cast bars. It does look the best, but its hell to set up and its not alot of tooltips around to help you understand what you are changing on the settings.

Id rather recommend the lightweight alternative ecastingbar (ecb for short) in combination with natur enemy cast bar (necb) to show target spells, countdowns and most other cd effects. necb requires no setup (well other than maybe moving the bar window if it starts in the middle of the screen) and ecb is very easy to set up.

Try out several and stick with what you like best.

Try out the previously mentioned mods. Also give TrinityBars a shot if you find any of them lacking in features. I also suggest XPerl unitframes if you want more detail and information. Stick with ag_UF and Pitbull for simplicity.

Quartz is great. eCastingBar is classic, or even ElkBuffBars might suite your needs. If you use XPerl it includes casting bars.
