Able to determine pve vs pvp in macros/mods?

I have a macro question, is it possible to check the target of target and determine whether it's a pve or pvp target and do something different? Some kind of /script command thingymajiggy?

For example I'd like to have a macro that casts PoM on my target only if his target is another player such as in a PvP situation, but I wouldn't necessarily want to do it if the player is fighting a mob instead.

If its possible, it'd be a cool priest mod
